T-Mobile Portable Back Up Battery Charger with USB Cable
Customer Reviews
This is an excellent device, it takes about 2~4 hours to charge, and it charged my Samsung Captivate from a dead 0% up to 85%, which is pretty good for such a cheap and compact backup battery. On the quick starter guide it comes with, it says that its capacity is 1700 mAh, in case if anybody is wondering. Also, its not just compatible with T-Mobile devices, it works with pretty much any device that has the ability to be charged via a USB cable (iPods, iPhones, PSPs, etc). I would recommend it for people for those who have battery munching phones, or those who need a bit more preparation for the winter, as power outages may be frequent.
Another Edit (3/23/12)
The backup battery still works fine, the device has a glossy finish (Or at least the one I recieved, other customers seem to recieve a different model), and it will get large amount of scratches. Not that it matters, anyways. The battery doesn't seem to hold as much as it used to, I'd say it can only hold 3/4 of what it used to. Still going strong, got a new phone, it charged my Xperia Play from a dead 0% up to a 47%. Now, this is because of how the Xperia Play has a beefy battery, which makes it acceptable. I'd say this would still be useful regardless.
Also, the battery level indicator is not accurate until it reaches below 25% of what it could carry.
Seems like this little guy should be more famous. Its T-Mobile moniker hides the fact that it is a compact and robust back up power supply for a lot of small battery-powered devices such as iPhones, iPods...well, just about anything that is USB compatible. Simply charge up the back up battery pack (via USB) and you have over 1700 mAhr of charge available. It's lightweight and easy to stash away in a backpack or purse, ready to be used on a rainy day (or anytime your device's batteries decide to go on strike). It has a cool little LED charge level indicator so you can stay on top of its charge state. But if you don't use it, the thing seems to hold its charge for a very long time. I haven't charged it in weeks and weeks and it still shows 100%.
Great device, and it arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Can't beat the price - don't leave home without one!
